So.
I had a migraine yesterday for the first time in 4 years. That was interesting. My coworkers were dolls about it though, and made sure I was taken care of.
Monday mornings flight was interesting. Nothing really noteworthy, just early and not really where I wanted to be. Good story.
Going home for Labor Day weekend was pretty amazing - good to be home, to see old friends, and to do the usual home things. Long drive home. Been a while since I spent that much time in a car, and my average travel time is usually 4 hours (not 6, 7, or 8...).
Spore came out last weekend. Now the question : do I get it? Do I need a new computer to play it? Do I need a new computer anyway? Hmmm..

Just so you know, Spore's been getting kind of middle of the road reviews. Sounds like the creature creation is twelve tons of fun and the game proper is pretty boring.
And have you heard about the fan response to the draconian DRM they've got packed in? People have been grumpy enough to tank the scores on Amazon.com in hopes of driving off customers to make a point. Right now 1951 of 2123 reviews give it one star.
The DRM fiasco is made more amusing/tragic by the fact that the game was cracked and released by pirates the day BEFORE the game came out.
